KENOWA Children's Centre is a home where 14 girls live together, with several educators who assist them in their daily living. There are also 7 children in this program, who live with relatives.
All of the girls are from disadvantaged family situation, without mothers and whose fathers dhave alcohol, drug or financial problems. They were entrusted to KENOWA after their situations were evaluated by authorities in Mombasa.
The girls are aged between 3 and 13 years old.
All the girls attend school, except the youngest (Shiro) since we were unable to find a “sponsor”.
(Primary School is free in Kenya).
The Centre decided to accept only girls because they are more disadvantaged than boys.
All the girls are HIV negative and receive medical care when necessary.

Our aim is to increase the number of available beds, so that a greater number of girls can be helped. Also with your help!
